November 16, 2002 - Morgantown, WV
Mileground Armory

Mason-Dixon Wrestling was live at the Mileground Armory in Morgantown, West Virginia to crown new tag-team champions in a one night, single elimination, tournament.

The titles were vacated when the former champions, The Thrillbillies, retired from wrestling.

Urban Death Squad (Spyder Crowley/Johnny Blast) versus J.R. Slam & El Guano #2
- In the opening match of the evening, the Urban Death Squad cut Slam off from Guano early in the match and maintained control till the finish when Blast, with a cheap shot, knocked Guano off the ring apron. Blast and Spyder then sent Slam "straight to hell" (double chokeslam finisher) for the victory.

Zero Tolerance (Brock Singleton/Mason Hunter) versus The Devestators
- Up next, Brock Singleton (w/Fireball) and MDW heavyweight champion, Mason Hunter (w/Sasha) defeated The Devestators by a countout disqualification after all four men began battling on the outside of the ring. Hunter was the only one of the four that managed to make it back into the ring before the ref's 10 count, giving Zero Tolerance the win.
- After the match, both Devestators continued to attack Singleton until Hunter, with a steel chair, chased them off.

The Soviet Terrors (Nikita Allanov/Zubov) versus The Premier Players (Daron Smythe/Dash Bennett)
- The third match of the first round came to an end after Bennett managed to make a much needed tag to Smythe after hitting Zubov with a tornado DDT. Smythe came in taking on both Russians, till rejoined by Bennett. Bennett and Zubov then took their fight to the outside, while Smythe setup Allanov for a top-rope maneuver, only the Russians' manager, Just'n Kace tripped Smythe, enabling Zubov, who had taken care of Bennett on the outside of the ring, to come in and hit a variation of the Flatliner on Smythe from the top-rope, giving The Soviet Terrors the win.

Jack Miller & Kid Apollo versus Punchy McGee & Brian Douglas
- In the final first round match, as Miller made the hot tag to Apollo, the match turned into a 4-way. Miller and Douglas went to the outside, while Punchy went to the top-rope for a moonsault on Apollo, but missed. Miller then tried to hit his swanton bomb from the top-rope on Punchy, but also missed. Douglas then tried to hit the double knee off the top-rope on Miller, but he missed. Then, with Douglas in perfect position after the missed kneedrop, Apollo managed to hit his top-rope moonsault and picked up the 3 count for his team to advance into the next round.
- After the match, The Soviet Terrors came back to ringside and attacked Miller & Apollo. Thrillbilly Ox, making a special appearance, made the save.

Jack Miller & Kid Apollo versus Urban Death Squad
- Start of the 2nd round, the match came to a close after Johnny Blast missed a 2nd rope legdrop on Kid Apollo. Apollo made the tag to Miller, who came in taking on both members of UDS till joined by Apollo. Miller & Apollo irish whipped UDS into each other. Then, while Miller took Spyder down with a stiff kick, Apollo went to the top-rope and hit Blast with a flying cross-body for the pinfall to advance to the tournament finals.

The Soviet Terrors versus Zero Tolerance
- In a surprise twist, the ending of this match came after Mason Hunter, along with his valet Fireball, turned on Brock Singleton's valet Sasha at ringside. Singletown had just powerslammed Allanov and was going for the tag as Hunter pushed Sasha down, then nailed Singleton with a big right hand. Singleton stumbled back into both Russians, who applied a double russian leg sweep on Singleton. Zubov then covered and got the pinfall.
- After the match, Singleton said he was coming for Hunter.

The Soviet Terrors versus Jack Miller & Kid Apollo
- In the main event and tournament finals to decide new MDW tag-team champions, the match ended after Zubov and Apollo hit each other with a double clothesline and made the hot tags to their corners. Miller and Allanov then came in with Miller taking early control, until tripped up by Just'n Kace at ringside. Miller then stumbled into a DDT by Allanov. Allanov then went after Apollo, who was still in the ring recovering, and hit him with "the Red Scare" (powerbomb into a type of piledriver finisher) to get the pinfall and win the MDW tag-team championships for The Soviet Terrors, while Zubov took care of Miller on the outside of the ring.

October 12, 2002 - Ravenswood, WV
Octoberfest

Mason-Dixon Wrestling kicked things off to a good start Saturday, October 12, in Ravenswood, West Virginia as part of Octoberfest.

Things got underway with a rematch from last week's show in Williamson, WV between Kid Apollo and Punchy McGee. McGee (accompanied to the ring by Just'n Kace), obviously still upset from the defeat he suffered the last time he and Apollo met in the ring, began things rough for the smaller Apollo, busting his nose early on. Punchy continued his assault by keeping the high flyer grounded till, much like a week ago, he decided to perch Apollo on the top-rope and go for a super-plex, which Apollo reversed by throwing Punchy off the ropes and then hitting him with a moonsault for the pinfall.

The next match was between Jack Miller and Brian Douglas. Miller kept things in his favor the opening minutes of the match by staying a step ahead of Douglas at all times, till Douglas' heel tactics finally changed the tide of the match. Douglas eventually climbed to the top-rope in hopes of hitting his famous knee drop for a 2nd time in his career, but missed yet again. Miller fought back and after ducking two back elbows from Douglas, Miller sidestepped a knee and school-boyed Douglas for the pin.

After the match, Johnny Blast came to the ring and, along with Douglas, attacked Jack Miller. Bart and Brad, The Batten Twins, came to make the save, which setup a tag-team match between the 4 later in the show.

3rd match of the day was between The Diva and Macaela Mercedes. Diva spent a large portion of the match arguing with the referee and complaining that Mercedes was cheating. The match went back and forth with neither woman keeping control for long, till Diva climbed to the top-rope and missed a frog splash. Mercedes fought her way back and tried sending Diva into the turnbuckles, but Diva reversed and sent Mercedes instead. Diva then charged in, but met a boot by Mercedes, who then climbed on top of Diva's shoulders and rolled her over for the pin.

Up next was the tag-team contest set-up earlier in the show between The Batten Twins and Brian Douglas & Johnny Blast. Things started out with the fan favorite Battens taking turns wearing down Douglas & Blast with arm drags and armbars till Douglas & Blast got things going their way. Cutting off Brad from his brother Bart, Douglas & Blast made frequent tags - or just switched places in the ring whenever the referee wasn't looking - to keep things in their favor. As the end of the match came about, Jack Miller returned to ringside, which immediately got the attention of Douglas & Blast, who seemed to have the match won with Bart down on the mat. With Douglas & Blast occupied with Miller, Brad and Bart secretly switched places in the ring, with Brad pretending to be Bart. As Johnny Blast returned to make the pinfall, Brad rolled Blast up for the pin and another win for The Batten Twins.

The main event was another rematch from one week ago in Williamson, WV between Bobby Blaze and "Freebird" Buddy Rose. Much like before, Blaze had to keep his eyes on Just'n Kace who was at ringside for this match, as Kace took cheap shots at Blaze every chance he got. Blaze, however, held his own the most part of the match keeping Rose on the defensive. Rose, though, and Kace had their way with Blaze at times too, till the end of the match as Kace had the referee distracted, Rose brought a foreign object into the ring and tried to hit Blaze with it, but Blaze ducked and gave Rose an atomic drop into Just'n Kace, who was still distracting the referee on the ring apron. As Rose stumbled back, Blaze rolled him up for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Punchy McGee, Brian Douglas, The Diva, Johnny Blast came to the ring and went after Bobby Blaze who was joined by The Battens, Kid Apollo, Jack Miller, and Macaela Mercedes. Everybody, including Just'n Kase, jumped into the ring and an impromptu battle royal took place. Things cleared quickly as The Battens and Douglas & Blast fought themselves out of the ring. As did Apollo, Miller, and McGee. In the end, only The Diva, Mercedes, and Kase remained, with Diva and Kase working together against Mercedes. However, Diva made a mistake and charged at Mercedes who was against the ropes and went over the top-rope for her troubles, eliminating her from the match. Mercedes then went on to X-factor Kase before tossing him over the top-rope to win the battle royal!

October 5, 2002 - Williamson, WV
Williamson Field House

Mason-Dixon Wrestling brought it's brand of pro-wrestling to the Field House in Williamson, West Virginia with a huge card that saw the following results...

Kid Apollo, after eliminating Cuban Assassin #2 and Punchy McGee, was declared the winner of the battle royal main event!

The Batten Twins got a win over Death & Destruction (Roger Anderson & Frank Parker). The end of the match came after the referee was accidentally knocked unconcious when the match broke out into a 4-way! With the referee down, both members of Death & Destruction pulled chains out of their tights. However, when Parker went to use his chain on Bart Batten, Bart kicked Parker, who dropped the chain. Bart then picked up the chain and nailed Parker with it, as Anderson managed to nail Brad with his chain. Bart then covered Parker, while Anderson covered Brad. With the referee counting both men's pin attempt, Brad's shoulder was not all the way down on the mat, while Parker's was, giving the Battens the win.

"Freebird" Buddy Rose (w/ Just N'Kace) defeated Bobby Blaze. Just N'Kace played a major factor in this match as he jabbed a foreign object into Blaze's throat several times while Rose distracted the referee. As the match came to an end, Blaze was distracted by Kace again. As Blaze reached out to grab Kace, Kace hit Blaze with the foreign object again, which knocked Blaze unconcious long enough for Rose to land a simple elbow drop for the victory.

The Diva defeated Brandi Alexander. Alexander controlled most of the match, but lost control when she decided to climb to the 2nd rope. The Diva managed to cut Alexander off and super-plexed Alexander off the ropes. The Diva then regained control and hit a wide variety of maneuvers on Alexander till she ran into Alexander's elbow while charging into a corner. Alexander then hit a bulldog and went for the cover, but The Diva managed to kick out, which upset Alexander to the point she began arguing with the referee. Alexander then went back and looked to try to suplex The Diva, but The Diva reversed it into a roll-up and got the pinfall.

Kid Apollo defeated Punchy McGee. The much bigger and more experienced McGee used his size and experience to his advantage to control most of the match, but after trying to super-plex Apollo off the top-rope, Apollo reversed by knocking McGee off the ropes, then positioned himself to land his moonsault for the 3 count victory.

"Pitbull" Bob Brown defeated the Cuban Assassin #2 in the opening contest of the evening after Cuban climbed to the top-rope and performed a high crossbody onto Brown. Unfortunately for Cuban, Brown was strong enough to catch Cuban in mid-air and delivered a running powerslam for the pinfall.

June 15, 2002 - Stonewood, WV
Volunteer Fire Dept.

Gentleman Jim Hawkins (substituting for a conspicuously absent Mark Mills) welcomed the crowd. Self-proclaimed hardcore champion Southern Brawler acknowledged all the criticism he had received on the internet, but challenged anyone to face him. J.R. Slam answered the call. The match went to a no contest when the New Millennium Assassins (w/ Just'n Kace) destroyed both men.

Nikita Allanov pinned Daron Smythe after Johnny Blast interfered, allowing Allanov to hit Smythe with a chain. Allanov and Blast attacked Smythe until his tag partner Dash Bennett made the save. Bennett challenged Blast/Allanov to face the Premier Players, which promoter Jim Hawkins booked for later in the card.

Latin Tornado was announced as the MDW Light Heavyweight champion, and pinned Mercury Flash in a high-flying thriller to retain the title.

Spiffy Sean Styles cut on the crowd about being too prestigious of a wrestler to perform in Stonewood and challenged anyone to face him. Jim Hawkins said he had an opponent in mind, but he would announce him...just cue his music. Marty Stewart's "Hillbilly Rock" blared over the loudspeakers as Thrillbilly Ox bought the crowd to their feet in a frenzy. Ox attacked Styles with his rubber chicken, but Styles dominated the match by working over Ox's leg until Ox managed to stuff the chicken in Styles' mouth and hit the 400 lb. body splash for the pin.

The Premier Players defeated Johnny Blast and Nikita Allanov in an awesome tag team extravaganza when Bennett pinned Allanov.

Mason Hunter (w/ Valerie Valentine) pinned Zubov (w/ Just'n Kace) to keep the MDW Heavyweight championship.

The New Millennium Outlaws attacked Hunter after the match, and the locker room soon emptied to start a battle royal. In the end, Spiffy Sean Styles threw Dash Bennett and Punchy McGee over the top, but referee Pee Wee Sherman threw out Styles to be declared the surprise winner. March 8, 2002 - Stonewood, WV
Volunteer Fire Dept.

A standing room only crowd was on hand for a night of incredible action and a history making match.

Dash and Daron (Dash Bennett and Daron Smythe) def. Nikita Allanov and Ace Spalding
In the first match up, the young guns put on an impressive showing that had the crowd fired up from the opening bell. Bennett took on both Spalding and Allanov at different times and frustrated the team with his quickness. Nikita used a crushing piledriver to turn the tide however, and he and Spalding double teamed Dash while Daron tried desperately to come to his partner's aid; unfortunately, the referee wouldn't let him in. When Dash finally made the tag, Smythe went to work on both men, allowing Bennett to recover enough to take Nikita out of commission while Smythe nailed Spalding with a leg drop off the top rope for the pin. After the match, an angry Allanov turned on his partner and beat him with his chain and warning him to never cost him a match again.

Johnny Blast (w/ Just'n Kace) pinned J.R. Slam
Blast and Kace ran down the crowd, blaming them for the absence of Blast's original opponent, Boomer Payne. Blast and Kace then issued a challenge to Stonewood's own J.R. Slam for a match. Slam hit the ring and opened up on Blast with a flurry of punches sending him scurrying out of the ring for cover. Once back in, Blast caught Slam with a stiff clothesline and then proceeded to choke and punch J.R. in the corners. J.R. started to rally a comeback, but Blast executed a devastating X-factor for the 1-2-3.

Ox pinned Fabulous Frederick
The flamboyant Frederick of Hollywood had the crowd wired as he came out in his flashy outfit and feather boa. He begged referee Pee Wee Sherman and announcer Mark Mills for a hug, but both reneged on the deal. The crowd then jumped to it's feet and cheered as the ever-popular Ox hit the ring with his pet rubber chicken in tow. Before the bell ever rang, Ox hit Frederick with the chicken as he bailed from the ring. Referee Sherman had his hands full with Ox as he tried to get him to leave the chicken out of the match. When the bell finally rang, the fabulous one found that he was no match for Ox's strength and size. Frederick challenged Ox to a test of strength, but found that the Thrillbilly's odor was equally strong. Frederick climbed the top rope to once again try the test of strength with a little height advantage, but Ox pulled his face into his waiting armpit. The two finally locked up and Ox tossed his opponent around the ring. Frederick managed to pull some brass knuckles out of his tights and nailed the big man twice. With Ox on wobbly knees, Frederick tried in vain to slam the big man, only hurting his back in the process. Ox managed to pick up the flamboyant Frederick and slam him to the mat, then hit the 400 lb. splash in the process for the pin.

Prophet (w/ Donnie B.) pinned J-Rocc
Prophet and Donnie B. also took time to run down the locals, and then turned their attention to the rowdy J-Rocc. J-Rocc tried to use his speed and agility to his advantage, but the stronger Prophet used muscle and brains to outwit his opponent and hit a series of high-impact slams and tosses to control the match. Donnie B. tried to interfere late in the match, but it backfired when Prophet accidentally clocked him. Thinking he had the match in hand, J-Rocc unwittingly found himself caught in a reverse x-factor head slam. Prophet quickly took the pinfall.

Sheik Abdul Hussan pinned Stick Figure Jones
The Iraqi claimed he would only need two minutes to finish off the much smaller Jones. Indeed, the masked Jones didn't get much offense in at all and soon found himself pinned to the mat. The actual time of the match was recorded at somewhere around three and a half minutes. Let the record show the Iraqi lied.

Zubov pinned Amazing Nate
The massive Zubov went on the offensive early, but Nate was able to counter his moves with aerial tactics like flying dropkicks and clotheslines. Zubov fired back with his own clotheslines and sent Nate sailing more than once in the match. He then worked over Nate by pounding him in the corners and stomping him in the ribs in the middle of the ring. He went for the pin, but Nate would not be denied. Nate came back with another clothesline then tried to finish off the Russian with a leg drop off the top rope. Zubov kicked out, then caught Nate with a German suplex followed by a powerbomb for the pin.

Kid Kash pinned Rocky Reynolds
The former ECW star rocked the fire hall, and made the night a living hell for the former NWA world junior heavyweight champion. To put it mildly, Kash chopped Reynolds' chest until it resembled hamburger throughout the whole match. He also put Rocky in several stretch holds that had the champ in pain. Kash tossed the 'luscious one' out of the ring, then delivered a drop kick to the chest as he tried to climb back in. Kash went airborne over the top onto Rocky, then threw a chair into his head. Rocky climbed back into the ring, and that's when it got worse for him. Kash locked up Rocky in a series of painful holds, even rubbing his face into the mat and actually twisting his nipples at one point (seriously). Rocky briefly fired a couple of punches for a hopeful comeback, but he fell victim to the Money Maker shortly thereafter. After the match, Kash answered the fans' request and nailed the move once more before security and ring attendants carried the limp Reynolds out of the ring.

Magnum (w/Just'n Kace) defeated Mason Hunter and Brock Singleton (w/ Sasha) by pinning Hunter to unify the NWA Tri-State Heavyweight Championship, Mason-Dixon Heavyweight Championship, and Mason-Dixon Wrestling Tri-State Championship.

At the start of the match, Magnum insulted both his opponents and pie-faced them simultaneously. Brock and Mason quickly double-teamed Magnum. Brock went for an early pin, but Mason broke up the count. Brock confronted Magnum over the move, but Mason greeted him with a fist to the head. The next several minutes saw a wild series of near falls and insults being traded between Brock's manager Sasha and Magnum's manager Just'n Kace. There was so much action, it's too difficult to cover it all here (wait for the tape!). The end came when Sasha and Kace finally tried to rip into each other. Kace wound up dragging Sasha away from ringside by the hair. Brock had Mason defeated, but caught what was going on and gave chase to the battling managers. Magnum slid back into the ring and covered Hunter for the pin and all three belts. Singleton came back and decried the decision and challenged Magnum to put the titles on the line the next night in Morgantown. Hunter also agreed that Magnum never really defeated him...Singleton did. He too wanted a rematch. In the end, Magnum walked out of the building with all the titles in his hands.
