7.15.2006 * In Mathews, VA for NWA-VA. In a TV taped match, NWA-VA Alpha Champion, Scotty Blaze defeated Lazarus in a non-title match. Dark Match: NWA-VA Alpha Champion, Scotty Blaze was defeated by Brandon Day when Blaze's wife, Erotica D'Vine, returned to the wrestling scene and sprayed her air freshener in his eyes allowing Day to nail Blaze with a Yakuza kick for the pinfall. Afterwards, Erotica D'Vine told everyone why she had returned to wrestling and announced that she is the manager of NEW EGYPT as Pharaoh and Lazarus came out and attacked an already downed Blaze. 7.9.2006 * In Roanoke, VA for NWA-VA. NWA-VA Alpha Champion, Scotty Blaze defeated Brandon Day (who was subbing for the injured Frank Parker) to retain the title. The rematch is scheduled next week in Mathews, VA. 7.8.2006 * After taking the month of June and the 1st week of July off, Scotty Blaze returned to action for TCW. Blaze teamed with "Superstar" Scotty Rocker and they were managed by EROTICA D'VINE to take on the NWA North American Tag Team Champions, UNOD. UNOD was the crowd favorite this night as the champs defeated Blaze & Rocker when D'Vine accidently sprayed Blaze in the eyes after Bad News Johnson had ducked and then hit Blaze with a running "GREETINGS FROM MILK RIVER" super-stiff clothesline for the pinfall. Blaze returns to NWA Virginia Sunday, July 9th at his family's place of business, STAR CITY FAMILY FUN ZONE. Blaze will defend the NWA VA Alpha Title against Frank "THE TANK" Parker in a match of Parker's choosing. 6.30.2006 * Due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, the APW Reunion show that was scheduled in Beckley, WV has been postponed. When a new date is announced, we will let you know! 5.21.2006 * Scotty Blaze has decided to take off the rest of May and the month of June to heal some injuries that have been nagging him as of late. Mostly the severly injured right hand (chopping hand) that was broken by Brandon Day. Blaze plans to use this time to heal up those injures so that he can try and be 100% when he returns to action. Blaze's first match back will be for TCW in Johnson City, TN. There he will team up with "Superstar" Scotty Rocker to take on UNOD for the NWA North American Tag Team Championship. Then the very next day is the NWA-VA Great Virginia Bash on Tour as it stops in Blaze's hometown of Roanoke, VA at the Star City Family Fun Zone for a Sunday afternoon show! 5.20.2006 * For AWA/CWF Mid-Atlantic in Burlington, NC. Scotty Blaze teamed up with Tank Lawson to take on UNOD who was contracted out by Cornelius J. Lumpkin to end the career of Tank Lawson. UNOD won when Blaze was pinned by Tungsten after Bad News Johnson nailed Blaze with the clothesline from Canada while Blaze had Tungsten up in the Someting Old/Something New. 5.13.2006 * For NWA-VA in Martinsville, VA. The GREAT VIRGINIA BASH tour kicked off at Hooker Field, home of the Martinsville Mustangs. In tag team action, Scotty Blaze & Chris Dramin defeated NWA North American Tag Team Champions, UNOD, via DQ, when Bad News Johnson hit Blaze in the back with a chair. After the DQ was called, UNOD, apparently paid by Brandon Day, attempted to further injure Blaze's broken chopping hand. 5.6.2006 * For NWA-VA in Richmond, VA. NWA Alpha champion, Scotty Blaze defeated Brandon Day in a taped fist match to retain the title. However, after the match, Day again viciously attacked Blaze's chopping hand and this time broke it. 4.29.2006 * For NWA-VA in Sugar Grove, VA. Scotty Blaze and Damian Wayne went to a no contest in the Canadian Lumberjack Match when all the lumberjacks got involved in the ring. 4.28.2006 * This past Saturday before the CWF Mid-Atlantic show in Burlington, NC, Airplanespin.com sat down with Scotty Blaze for an interview. Scotty Blaze took on "The German Beef" Otto Schawnz in a very hard hitting match. The end came when Schawnz was able to hit Blaze with a HUGE STIFF Boot for the win. 4.17.2006 * NWA Virginia's Action Zone has a new webisode with two great matches. 1st match features the Scotty Blaze vs Brandon Day match from Saluda. This match ends in a shocker. The 2nd match pits Old School Empire's Preston Quinn and Mike Boothe as they defend their NWA-VA Tag Team Titles against the Platinum Icons (Phil Brown & Dirty Money). Scotty Blaze wrestled Brent Batten (son of Bart Batten of Batten Twins fame) to a pinfall victory after raking Brent's eyes and hitting him with a chain when the referee wasn't looking. Later in the evening, Scotty wrestled Brent again - this time with a different result - as, despite being dominating most of the match, Brent managed to score the pinfall after hitting Scotty with a top-rope missle dropkick.
